Lars Willumeit, image editor, "DU" magazine

Lecture:
"805 times DU: Sketches on the contemporary history of photography"

Lars Willumeit presents a "moving" history using photo projects and layouts from DU magazine and offers an insight into current trends in the international and Swiss world of photography.

Lars Willumeit (*1975) trained in photography and studied Social Anthropology
at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He has worked for several editorial photo desks, among others for GEO office in New York and took part in various book and exhibition projects for the German magazine.
After relocating to Switzerland and working for several publishing houses there, since 2008 he has been image editor for DU magazine. He has already led various workshops and panel discussions relating to photography, lecturing on the subject and has been active on juries and in portfolio review sessions (among others, PHotoEspaÒa (PHE), Les Recontres d'Arles, PDN's 30, MAZ -
Die Schweizer Journalistenschule and European Nature Photographer of the Year).
Lars Willumeit lives and works in Zurich.
