The founders of the Darmstädter Tage der Fotografie festival present it and offer and account of the exhibitions and lectures as well as an outline fo the next festival.

Alexandra Lechner studied Photo Design at the Darmstadt Academy and worked for agencies and image desks focusing on “People” and “Portraits”. Five years ago, she joined up with three other photographers to launch “Darmstädter Tage der Fotografie”, the annual debate on young international photo art.

Albrecht Haag graduated in 1999 from the Darmstadt Academy with a degree in Communications Design, with a special emphasis on photography. Since that time he has worked freelance as a photodesigner, with his main focus being on documentation, photojournalism and conceptual photography. Since 2003, the year when Darmstädter Tage der Fotografie e.V. was founded, he has along with Alexandra Lechner, Gregor Schuster und Rüdiger Dunker been organizing and directing the photo festival of the same name.
